There is an exhibit now in progress at Alley Art and Framing, featuring the Diverse Five, a group of artists in the Dayton/Springfield area, of which Karen Benedetti is one.  Her new Music Series is featured along with Rina Thau's music related artwork as well.  

Sunday, September 27th, was the date of the Alzheimer's Walk at Old River Park.  It was a beautiful day; and Karen joined Mike Crass and Donna, owners of Alley Fine Art/Framing in Springboro, OH,  on the walk for Alzheimer's research, at Old River.  Lots of people showed up, and there was even a band.  

Sunday was a very hot day for Art on the Commons in Kettering, Ohio, but that didn't stop thousands of people from coming to the show. Art on the Commons is an annual Art's Festival which brings the national arts community to Dayton's doorstep.  Artists whose talents range from fine art to pottery to crafts to jewelry.  Each was there to display his or her artistic gifts to the public.  

All in all, it was a very nice day for an art show. ...

The weather was nice, and refreshments were served on the deck.  George's Armstrong's homemade salsa was the hit of the evening!

Monday night, Rosie Huart and I hosted the opening for our newest exhibit, "Soul and Spirit." 

Rosie and I are dear friends with similar interests and styles which are complimentary to each others' work—one of the reasons we love partnering up.
